The Bedouin Wisdom
2 days — 1 night
Day One — Sightseeing across the park by jeep
We will come meet you in Wadi Rum Village then head out to visit the unmissable desert of which highlights include, but are not limited to, Lawrence Spring, flowing from the mountains to ground level. Khazali Canyon, with ancient carvings on both sides. Sand Dunes, where you can climb to view outstanding panoramic scenery. Anfashieh Inscriptions, depicting ancient stories of the Talmudic and Nabatean people. Lawrence House, a huge stone wall on the side of a majestic valley. Passing through the Mushroom Rock and Burdah Rock Bridge to Um Frouth Rock Bridge, a large arch you can climb up to if you are comfortable doing so.
Evening — Bedouin by the fire
After your discoveries of the day it will be time to head to our bedouin tent at the heart of the park. There you will have time to relax and explore the area on foot and enjoy the sunset and the rainbow of colours our desert displays in this incredible moment of the day. Once you are back at the tent we will set the fire to prepare the bedouin food and make tea. Over a traditional dinner you will be able to ask all the questions you want about the bedouin life, listen to stories, learn about untold traditions. The immensity of the nights sky holds an abundance of stars to wish upon which can only be found in a desert experience.
Day Two — Trekking Jebel Umm Ad Dami
After a bedouin breakfast we will drive South near the Saudi Arabian border. We will ascend to the summit of Jebel Umm Ad Dami, the highest mountain in Jordan. Once at the top we will absorb the views and the magical colours of Wadi Rum and into Saudi Arabia. After descending some tea will be prepared by your guide on a fire, after which you will then be driven back to Wadi Rum Village, where we will wish you well and say goodbye until next time.
